Weekly Workout Recap: 10/26-11/1

Sunday, 10/26: 1.5 mile walk (out of town)
Monday, 10/27: JM30DS
Tuesday, 10/28: JM30DS

Friday, 10/31: JMR30

The Hubs got me a new Jillian Michaels Workout DVD for my birthday-- Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 (JMR30). Turns out, at least Week 1 of the DVD (which is all I've done so far) is pretty much exactly the same as 30-Day Shred. LAME. Maybe it'll get better. We'll see. Since I love me some Jillian, I still dig it. But, I was hoping for something way different to help mix it up. Oh well.

Weekly Workout Recap: 10/19-10/25

Weekly Workout Recap: 10/19-10/25

Sunday, 10/19: 5 mile run & 3.5 mile walk
Monday, 10/20: None
Tuesday, 10/21: JM30DS & 2 mile walk
Wednesday, 10/22: 4 mile stroller run & 1 mile walk
Thursday, 10/23: JM30DS
Friday, 10/24: None
Saturday, 10/25: 2 mile walk (out of town)

Apparently I just need to accept that the only time I run is the weekend. Specifically, Sunday mornings. While I'd love to get out there more, it is what it is. And, I do 100% LOVE my Sunday runs right now. Brisk, fall colors, alone time... perfection. BUUUUT- I did get 1 more run in this week! Now that I learned how to make my stroller stop shaking violently when running, my excuses not to run with B are more limited (though don't worry, I still have plenty). It was fun to get out with her. Hard, but fun. :)

Weekly Workout Recap: 9/28-10/4

Weekly Workout Recap: 9/28-10/4

Sunday, 9/28: 4 mile run & 6 mile walk w/ fam (split into 2 walks)
Monday, 9/29: 20 minutes of a Bob Harper DVD from library & 2 mile walk
Tuesday, 9/30: 8MA8MA
Wednesday, 10/1: JM30DS
Thursday, 10/2: None
Friday, 10/3: None
Saturday, 10/4: None

Started the week off with a run, but it all went down hill from there. I could spew out 100000 excuses, but it simply came down to working out not being a high enough priority. Happens. Not the end of the world.

Weekly Workout Recap: 9/14-9/20

Weekly Workout Recap: 9/14-9/20

Sunday, 9/14: 7 mile walk w/ fam (split into 2 walks)
Monday, 9/15: Jillian Michael's 6 Week 6-Pack (30 minute strength and cardio workout)
Tuesday, 9/16: 3.5 mile walk w/ fam
Wednesday, 9/17: JM's 6 Week 6-Pack & 3 mile walk w/ the fam
Thursday, 9/18: 3 mile walk w/ the fam
Friday, 9/19: 3 mile walk w/ the fam
Saturday, 9/20: None

Pretty good week! JM's 6 Week 6-Pack is another no joke workout DVD. And, yes- still loving the free workout DVD's from the library. I do think I'm going to ask for a few Jillian DVD's for my birthday or Christmas so I don't have to worry about returning them on time and such. Without a gym membership, Jillian's DVD's are keeping me sane & sweaty. :)

Made Up Home Circtuit Workout

My love affairs for Jillian Michael and Bob Harper are well known. But, I'll admit it-- I'm getting a bit burnt out on Jillian's 30 Day Shred and I haven't been to the library for 2 weeks to get a new Bob DVD (don't worry- I'm going today). And, I love me some good ol' 80's classic 8-Minute Abs/8-Minute Arms. I mean, the outfits alone rock my socks. But, there's only so many times you can hear "like you're hugging a barrel" before you want to find a barrel to chuck at the TV.

I could use that as an excuse and not workout. I can hear myself now: "But, you did Jillian like 3 times last week and 8 Minute Abs/Arms yesterday! Boooooring. Just take a rest day!!" In fact, I was thiiiiiis close to calling it.

But, I didn't. I decided to just make up something and do it on my own. So, I sat down and wrote down a plan:

Here's what I did:

Do each for 1 minute (unless otherwise noted) and then repeat whole circuit:
-Jumping Jacks
-Walking lunges
-Plank (30 sec. on elbows, then 30 sec. on hands)
-Sumo squats holding weights
-Rest (30 seconds)
-Bicycle crunches (30 seconds)
-High knees
-Deadlift with should press
-Row while holding squat
-Leg lifts (whatever kind you want)
-Bicep curl with single leg extensions

I was sweating buckets and the time FLEW by. It was only 20 minutes, but it was a great workout and left my muscles feeling tired and it was exactly what I needed.

Turns out, being bored isn't really a great excuse to not workout. Glad I didn't let myself fall back on it this time. Will I be bored again (probably tomorrow)? Sure. Will I use that as an excuse and skip the workout? I'm sure I will now and then. But, I'm glad I didn't this time!

Weekly Workout Recap: 7/7-8/2

Weekly Workout Recap: 7/27-8/2

Sunday, 7/27: Jillian Michaels "Shape Up Front" DVD & 5 mile walk (split into 2 walks)
Monday, 7/28: Jillian Michaels "Shape Up Front" DVD
Tuesday, 7/29: 3.5 mile walk
Wednesday, 7/30: JM30DS & 2.5 mile walk
Thursday, 7/31: JM30DS & 4 mile walk & 3 mile run
Friday, 8/1: 2.5 mile walk
Saturday, 8/2: None

Well, hello there, August! When and HOW did that happen??? Cannot believe it's already AUGUST. Crazy, crazy, crazy. Anyway- decent week. Lots going on, so I'm just glad I got a few workouts in.

Oh, and I rented a non-Bob/non-Jillian workout DVD from the library. MISTAKE. The person leading it was just so annoying. And, they try to get WAY to complicated and fancy with all these combination moves and stuff. I'm far too uncoordinated for that. I mean, I fall while walking in dry weather in flats. Come on now. I'll stick w/ Bob and/or Jillian for a while, I think.

Weekly Workout Recap: 6/22-6/28

Weekly Workout Recap: 6/22-6/28

Sunday, 6/22: 5.5 mile walk with Fam
Monday, 6/23: 8-Minute Abs
Tuesday, 6/24: Biggest Loser Power Sculpt DVD & 2 mile walk & 5 minutes of planks
Wednesday, 6/25: Biggest Loser Power Sculpt DVD & 7.5 mile walk (split into 3 separate walks-- 4.5, .5, and 2.5)
Thursday, 6/26: JM30DS & 3.5 mile walk & 3 mile run
Friday, 6/27: 3 mile walk
Saturday, 6/28: 2 mile walk

Meh. I'll be honest. This week I felt like I was kinda "phoning it in" as Jillian says, especially the first half of the week. I halfassed some of the workouts, only giving it minimal effort. I could blame it on Bailey going through some sorta mini-sleep regression. I could blame it on being tired. I could blame it on crappy weather. I could blame it on about a gazillion things, but truth is- I just wasn't feeling it. I still DID it... just didn't give it 100%. Although I did RUN! Yep. A whooping 3 miles. Woah. More on the running later. Anyway- hopefully it's just a little slump and this week I'll be back at it, full force.

Two Thing Thursday

Two Things on my To-Do List:
1. Pick up my wedding ring from the jewelry store. I'm still ringless and it's weird and I don't like it! Glad my ring came back in. Now, I just gotta go pick it up!
Done! Picked it up yesterday! Crazy how naked I feel without it. Good to have it back. :)

2. Vacuum the apartment. Holy dog hair, Sadie. She is shedding like crazy right now. It's baaaaad. Poor Bailey is constantly covered in hair now that she's crawling and drooling (so it sticks to her-- niiiice!) like a madman.

Two Workouts this Week:
1. Biggest Loser Workout DVD.
Yep- still renting workout DVD's from the library. Only done this one once and it was just sorta OK. I'll do the next level up and see if it's any better. Oh- but, WOAH! Jillian and Bob look so young! Blast from the past!!

2. 8-Minute Abs. I didn't do 8-Minute Arms too because my arms were still in pain (not really sore.... maybe I tore something?) from the crazy outside yard work the Hubs and I did over the weekend (ps- what a great workout yard work is! I was SO sweaty. OMG. I loved it!!).

Two Things I am OVER this Week:
1. Bailey waking up at 5am. Woah girl. GO BACK TO SLEEP. I'm a morning person, but COME ON. 6:30am is early enough. Really.

2. The rain. The constant, downpour apocalypse style rain. We've gotten caught outside in it twice. Never fun to get caught in a downpour, but MUCH LESS FUN to get caught in a downpour with a baby. Plus, Sadie is a GIANT baby when it rains. She either hides under the bed, in the closet, or wants to be RIGHT NEXT TO YOU (though what else is new here?).

Two Things I Have or Am Going to Cook This Week:
1. Chicken Burritos!! Based loosely on this recipe. Really, I just cooked a couple chicken breasts in the crockpot with some taco seasoning. Then, I chopped and sautéed some peppers, onions, corn, and black beans. Combine and put in tortilla (flour for us), then grill on grill pan. Oh, and then eat LOTS of guac on the side. Yum. Mexican food is always a win.

2. Cookies. Lots and lots of cookies. The Hubs has a family reunion this weekend and I volunteered to bring dessert! I'm planning to make 3 different kinds. I love baking!!

Two Shows I'm Watching:
1. Secret Life of the American Teenager. Ok, so this show is BAD. Like, really bad. Bad acting, bad story lines, bad drama, just bad. But, I'm hooked and gonna see it through. I'm watching an episode during Bailey's afternoon nap and sometimes after she goes to bed. I really don't like the show, but I'm invested. Thanks for the entertainment, Netflix Instant!

2. Lost. Yep. The Hubs and I are still making our way through Lost. We're in the middle of Season 3. Goodness, I love this show. I forgot how much. However, it is also really, really stupid at parts too and I definitely forgot how much. The smoke monster? Come on. Stupid.
(Note: We're still cable-free and loving it! Great decision. Of course, the Hubs hasn't been faced with college basketball season yet, but so far, so good!)

Weekly Workout Recap: 6/15-6/21

Weekly Workout Recap: 6/15-6/21

Sunday, 6/15: None
Monday, 6/16: Bob Harper's 45-minute "Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation"
Tuesday, 6/17: 1.5 mile walk
Wednesday, 6/18: JM30DS
Thursday, 6/19: JM30DS
Friday, 6/20: Bob Harper's 45-minute "Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation"
Saturday, 6/21: 25 minutes of Bob Harpers DVD & 3+ hours of intense yard work (and I do mean intense... shoveling, mulching, moving logs, etc.)

I feel like I'm getting into a pretty solid routine and workouts are becoming the norm, not the "if I have time". It's definitely helpful that Bailey is becoming a pretty consistent napper and we have a good schedule down for the most part. Certainly not perfect, but decent. Not a ton of walks this week-- mother nature was pretty ragey and had thunderstorms on and off all week. Get it together, Mother Nature.

Dear Bob Harper

Dear Bob Harper,

First, I admit it. While I liked you, I never loved you. I always thought I was a Jillian Michael's girl. I love her 30-Day Shred and think I'd do better with her as a personal trainer on Biggest Loser than with you. No offense, I just feel like I'd need more of an ass-kicking than touchy feely.

(What? You've never thought about which trainer you'd want on Biggest Loser? Bet you're thinking about it now.)

Anyway- I was always Team Jillian. And, while I still love me some Jillian, you've officially made me conflicted and a loyal member of Team Bob now too.

(Good think I'll never be on Biggest Loser and have to only have 1 of them, huh?)

Your workout DVD's are KICKING MY ASS and I kinda love it.

Here's the thing though. I recently rented your "Beginners Weight Loss Transformation" from my local library.

I almost didn't get it because, while I'm certainly no badass, I don't really think I'm a beginner either. Alas, it was the only one of your DVDs available, so I figured I'd go with it and modify to make it harder if needed.

Yeah. Silly, silly, Meagan.

Dude. Bob. That shit was intense. I think the only thing that made it "beginner" compared to your other DVD that I've done is that it's "only" 45 minutes long. Other than that- dude. That was hardcore. My muscles were shaking. I was dripping in sweat. Like, my hair is soaked sorta sweat not some little glisten sweat.

Don't get me wrong. I loved it. Every grueling second (even if I did almost turn it off 10 times). But, I really think you need to reevaluate what the word BEGINNER means. Or maybe I need to reevaluate if I'm actually a beginner or not? Hmmmm.

Anyway- beginner level or not, thanks for the great workout. You've definitely given Jillian a run for her money.

Love,
Meagan

Weekly Workout Recap: 6/8-6/14

Weekly Workout Recap: 6/8-6/14

Sunday, 6/8: 20 minutes of Bob Harpers DVD & 4 mile walk w/ the Fam
Monday, 6/9: JM30DS
Tuesday, 6/10: 8MA8MA & 5 minutes of planks
Wednesday, 6/11: None
Thursday, 6/12: Bob Harper's "Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation" (see review soon) & 1.5 mile walk
Friday, 6/13: JM30DS & 2- 3.5 mile walks
Saturday, 6/14: 5 mile walk

I'm pretty proud of this week. It was a stressful week for me with some personal stuff going on and I had a lot of errands and such to do so I kinda went into the week thinking I'd be lucky if I got a few walks in (What-- you don't lay in bed on Sunday night thinking about when/how/what your weeks workouts are going to look like? No? Just me? Huh. Interesting.). I'm proud that I didn't let a stressful or busy week deter me and I still got a solid workout in on most days (though I hardly got any walks in... darn rain!). I'm a firm believer that we're almost never "too busy"--- we just choose to spend our time doing something else (whether that's sleep or work or family or whatever, which are all EXCELLENT choices of things to spend our time on). I've certainly chosen to spend my time on other things and used the "I'm too busy" excuse a lot, but I'm happy this week I sucked it up and made it work. One bonus point for me!

Favorite "Home" Workouts

Since having Bailey, my life has changed pretty darn dramatically. Someone else's needs are  without a doubt more important than mine. Long gone are the days of anything more than 6-hours of consecutive sleep. I don't even remember what sleeping past 6:30am feels like, let alone staying up past 10pm. The TV is rarely on these days and my Pandora station is Einstein Kids instead of Eminem (ok, it was never Eminem, but I thought you'd make fun of me if I said Britney Spears or Taylor Swift). Our living room looks like a toy store and I spend more time nursing in a day than I do on almost anything else.

And, I wouldn't have it any other way. My life is 1000000% better today than it was pre-Bailey. I wouldn't trade it for a single thing.

Buuuut, that doesn't mean it isn't different. And different isn't always easy.

One big way my life has changed is my workouts. I simply cannot leave for a 3+ hour run right now. Baby's gotta eat and I'm her 24/7 cafeteria. Even though I pump and the hubs could give her a bottle, by 3 hours, I'd be so engorged and uncomfortable I could barely walk, let alone run. I also no longer work, which means no guaranteed lunch hour workouts. Runches, I miss you. And, since we've moved, we don't belong to a gym which means the elliptical is nothing but a distant memory.

But, that doesn't mean I can't workout. It's just had to change. 1 small change among many lately. So, my workouts now look different. They look a lot more similar to what they did when I was on maternity leave, though I think the intensity is greater now and there are a LOOOOOT more walks. I love home workout DVDs. I also HATE home workout DVDs. They can be SOOOO hit or miss. And, I've tried about a million. Please tell me I'm not the only person who has bought a workout DVD because it looks good only to find that it was the worst $10 you ever spent because you can't watch the stupid DVD without wanting to punch the annoying lady in the face. Yeaaaaaah. Anyway-- to save you the trouble of trying to sift through the gazillion options to find a good one (& because this girl suggested I cover this topic), I thought I'd tell you my 4 favorite home workouts...

Jillian Michael's 30-Day Shred
Pros:
-GOOD, solid workout. This shit will make you sore. Or at least, it makes me sore. This workout is no joke.
-It's only 20 minutes. Quick and hardcore.
-Varied level of difficulty so good for a beginner or someone more experienced
-All the equipment you need is hand weights

Cons:
-Leaves you sore! LOL. I just mean, it's difficult to do numerous days in a row because you will get sore.
-Can get repetitive after you've done it a gazillion times (though, at least there are 3 different levels, which mixes it up a lot better).
-Lots of jumping, which in a second floor apartment is kinda tough.
-You need a decent amount. Not a ton, but more than some of the others.

8-Minute Abs and 8-Minute Arms
Pros:
-Quick! Who doesn't have 8 minutes? Or 16 if you do both? And it's really hard to talk yourself out of a workout when it's only 16 minutes. You've got 16 minutes. I promise.
-Easy moves & beginner (& advanced level) friendly. It's not "hard" per say. It's effective, but isn't going to make you not be able to move the next day.
-Hello. The classic 80s workout attire. Love, love, love. If nothing else, it's entertaining.

-Almost no space needed.
-No equipment except hand weights needed.

Cons:
-Not the most intense workout.
-Repetitive after you've done is 987482 times. I can quote the entire thing like it's Wedding Crashers.
-LAME music.

Nike Training Club
Pros:
-Easy to access, as it's right on my phone.
-Easy to vary (if you know what you're doing) to customize for you.
-Some of them (like the legs) don't need any equipment.
-They have videos to show you the moves if you don't know how to do one.
-You get to listen to your own music!

Cons:
-Some of the moves require a lot of space, which my apartment doesn't really provide. Plus, it's a TON of jumping and living on the 2nd floor, I don't really like to do all that much (you're welcome, downstairs neighbor).

Walks
Pros:
-Relaxing! And fresh air! And sun! Who doesn't love a walk?!? -Easy to do anywhere there's a sidewalk and don't need any equipment.

Cons:
-When it's just Bailey and I and we're out for a solid 1.5 hours, it can get a bit boring. I admit it.

Weekly Workout Recap: 6/1-6/7

Weekly Workout Recap: 6/1-6/7

Sunday, 6/1: 4 mile walk w/ the Fam
Monday, 6/2: 8MA8MA & 2 mile walk w/ the Fam
Tuesday, 6/3: 6.5 mile walk & Bob Harpers "Ultimate Cardio Body" 60-minute workout
Wednesday, 6/4: None (OMG I WAS SO SORE FROM THE DAY BEFORE. OMG.)
Thursday, 6/5: 3.5 mile walk & 8MA8MA
Friday, 6/6: 20 minutes of Bob Harpers DVD & 4.25 mile walk
Saturday, 6/7: 25 minutes of Bob Harpers DVD & 2 mile walk

Pretty good week! The Hubs and I are trying to get back into our groove of going for walks after work. It's tougher with Baileybug, as we have her bedtime to think of and such so definitely not going for any 4+ milers, but trying to go for a couple miles most nights. It's such good family bonding time! Plus, I really do want Bailey to grow up thinking going for walks and being active and such is just NORMAL. It's just what our family does. Like eating. Or sleeping. It's just a normal, no-big-deal, daily activity.

Other than walks, I tried to get some sort of strength done each day and did pretty good! I'd love, love, LOVE to get some jogging stroller runs back in, but by the time B and I can get out in the morning (after nursing and solids and nap 1 and like 12 diaper changes, etc.) it's too hot now! Yes, I just complained about heat even after the polar vortex winter we had. Bleah. I'm thinking of adjusting B's schedule soon so we'll see if that helps or makes it even more impossible. Time will tell! Til then, running will just be a do-it-when-I-can kinda thing. I'm sure if I really, really wanted to, I could cut the excuses and just make it work. For now, I'm 100% OK and enjoying walks and home workouts. To me, working out is something I ENJOY and do for FUN. Right now, walks and home workouts are that. Tomorrow, running maybe that and I'll run then. I'm a firm believer in doing what you WANT to do so it doesn't feel like torture.

Holy Moly! Hello, DOMS!

Wowza.

I interrupt your normally scheduled Thursday to let you know if you're looking for a KILLER workout, I've got one for you.

Run (don't walk!) to your local library (or, ya know... to your computer and to Amazon.com if you'd like to buy it based solely on my recommendation) and rent this DVD.

(Side note: Did you know you can check out workout DVDs from your library? Apparently this isn't widely known. So, now you know! My community service for the day is done. You're welcome.)

Please ignore my one random, badly in need of a pedicure foot that snuck into the shot.

OMG. Seriously. I know I JUST complained about being OMG-SO-SORE after the half this weekend, but seriously. That has nothing on this. I had to lower myself to the toilet with my hands because my legs were so sore. SO. MANY. LUNGES AND SQUATES. More than I've done like ever. Holy moly.

It's a 60-minute workout, which I was not expecting. Maybe I should have actually read the back of it before checking it out from the library? Whatever. I likely wouldn't have gotten it if I had know that, so it's a good thing I didn't read.

Anyway- I was gonna quit 10 minutes in. For real. That's how hard core it is. Then, I made it to 10 minutes and decided I'd give it 20, as that's how long Jillian is and that's my normal length workout these days. At the 20 minute mark, I thought I should just do 1/2 the DVD and then the next day I'd do the second half. You get the point. I ended up doing the whole thing. WOOOOWZA. It is HARD CORE.

You don't need any equipment except hand weights.

Don't let the bigger weights fool you. I used the smaller 8-pounders the whole time. And it was PLENTY. I had to stop a few times to catch my breath. I was DRIPPING with sweat. WOAH. Anyway- it's a good workout DVD. Bob Harper isn't annoying as shit like 99% of workout DVD people. It's quick... ok, yes it's 60 minutes , but he breaks it up and you're doing LOTS of different stuff, so it goes by quick. There is a decent amount of jumping, which I don't really dig as I live on the 2nd floor of an apartment building and don't want to bug my neighbors, so I adjusted and ran in place or did mountain climbers.

Anyway, I give it 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up. Even if I still, 2 days later, can't sit without assistance and going down stairs makes me wonder if I legit broke my leg. Hurts so good. I'll definitely be checking this DVD out again in the future!

Weekly Workout Recap: 5/25-5/31

Lazy blogger, right here. It's pretty hard to ignore that you've slacked on the blogging front all week when you have back to back weekly recap posts. WHOOPS. I'll try to do better this week. No promises though! :)

Weekly Workout Recap: 5/25-5/31

Sunday, 5/25: Lots of walking while site seeing out of town
Monday, 5/26: None
Tuesday, 5/27: 8MA8MA & 2 mile walk
Wednesday, 5/28: 8MA8MA & 5 minutes of planks & 3 mile walk
Thursday, 5/29: 6.75 mile walk
Friday, 5/30: None
Saturday, 5/31: Sunburst Half Marathon (13.1 mile run) & 1.3 mile walk

Not the greatest week, but proud that I'm managing to do SOMETHING most days. Still trying to learn and accept that I can't do something everything and that some days something little, like 8MA8MA, is just going to have to do. It's I'm a work in progress.

And, um-- I suppose a special shout out should go for that half marathon thing on Saturday. Wait-- whaaaat??? Still not sure how exactly that happened. Recap coming soon.

Anyway- another great week! Not a lot any running, which is fine right now. I have every intention of getting back to running, though I'm not sure if I'll ever be in constant half marathon distance shape. I'd like to be able to bust out 5-mile runs fairly consistently, though. But, right now it's just not something that's working out. I got a jogging stroller off Craigslist and I love it, but it kinda shakes like WOAH every once in a while (& way too often) when I run with it. AWESOME. I'm gonna have the Hubs and my father in law look at it... I think maybe the wheels just need to be tightened. Hopefully that'll do the trick and I can start running with it maybe twice a week. That thing takes running to a whole new level. Shit is HARD. But, I know that means it's just that much better of a workout which I kinda love, too. :)

Day in the Life: 6 months and SAHMing It

5:30am: The Hubs alarm goes off and we both kinda grumble, but get up. He has to be at work at 7am and has a bit of a commute, so it's a much earlier wake up call than we had at our old jobs, but it's not so bad. Afterall, during marathon training, I had a 5am wake up call everyday. WOAH. I was hella crazy, huh? Anyway- we both get up. He takes Sadie out and gets ready and off to work. I usually do a workout DVD-- either Jillian or 8-minute abs/arms.

Bailey's wake-time is SUPPOSED to be 6:30am. Sometimes she makes it. Sometimes she starts squaking at about 5:45-6am. Either way, I don't get her out of bed til 6:30am.

6:30am: Wake up (or go get her if she's already up) Bailey! Getting her in the morning is the best. I legit miss her when she's sleeping! I'm a freak, I know. We nurse and diaper change right when she gets up.

7am: Bailey plays in her jumperoo thing and I make and eat breakfast (lately coffee and lactation muffins {aka- muffins with brewers yeast and ground flax seed added}). Before we started solids, I'd eat my breakfast while reading blogs, but now that we're starting solids I eat my breakfast while Bailey "eats" (aka- knaws and kinda plays in it) her breakfast (note: I'll do a fuller post later on starting solids, baby led weaning, baby food, etc.)

After we eat, Bailey plays in her jumperoo thing while I pump. Bleah.

7:30-9:30am: Walk! I loooove our morning walks and get SO BUMMED when it's raining and we can't go. Usually B will nap from about 8-9am during our walk.

9:30am: Nurse and diaper. Then, we either play or run errands. If we play, we'll play with toys on the floor, dance, look in the mirror, sit in the bumbo, read books, etc. Sometimes we'll also go to a local mom's group I joined's playdate or event during this time too. Just depends on the day.

11:30-12:30pm: Naptime. I usually do some cleaning or dinner prep during this nap.

12:30pm: Nurse and diaper, then more play time! Sometimes I also eat lunch (turkey sandwich, apple and carrots today) during this stretch, sometimes I wait til she goes down for her next nap. Just depends on the day.

1:30-3:30pm: NAPTIME! This is B's longest nap, by far. And, she's really consistent and goes down super easily (most of the time). I watch some TV (currently watching Orange is the New Black in Netflix. LOVE it, even though it is F-ed up!), clean up, and prep dinner.

3:30pm: Wake up B and nurse/diaper. Then, it's more play time  and dinner prep til the Hubs gets home, when we finish up making dinner and he gets some quality daddy/daughter playtime in.

5:30pm-ish: Dinner (this night was Italian beef sandwiches ala the amazing crock pot) and more play.

6:15pm: Give Bailey a bath, jammies, and then the Hubs reads her a book.

6:30pm: Then, it's my favorite time of the day. Our night nurse session. I'm obsessed with her and just love these moments so much. Her smell, her little noises, when she tries to hold my hand. Love every second.

7pm: Put Bailey down for the night. Lately, she's been going down so easily. It's been AMAZING.

7-9pm: Clean up after dinner, watch some TV with the Hubs, pump again (booooooooooooo).

9pm: BEDTIME for me. Yes, I go to bed at 9pm. I know. I'm lame.

10pm-ish: Hubs gives Bailey a bottle of pumped milk while I'm snoozing away.

2/3am: Bailey wakes up and we nurse. I KNOW she doesn't NEED this feed and I really want to try to get rid of it and get her to sleep through the night, but we're just not there yet. Soon.... I hope. :/

A good week! I'm getting into the routine and, more importantly, so is Bailey. When we first moved, she was still on Eastern time, so instead of waking up at 6:30am, she was up at 5:30am. Now (knock on wood), she's usually sleeping until I wake her at 6:30am, which gives me from 6-6:30am to workout. Perfect!! Early? Yes. But, it's the only time I KNOW I'll have to workout, so I take it. Plus, I'm an early bird so it's not so bad.

Random thought: I think Jillian's Level 1 is tougher than Level 2. Actually, I've done them both so many times I have them memorized and kinda combine them to get the best workout in. Yes, I am weird.
